New Models from TUDOR—Always in Good Company

TUDOR has always been in good company. The brand was founded in 1929 by Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, and the first models launched even bore the Rolex name to underline their technical and aesthetic quality. However, thanks to the regular release of new models - most notably the highly publicized TUDOR Oyster Prince in the 1950s - the Swiss Manufacture quickly gained its independence and established itself on the market with its new models. TUDOR's close relationship with Rolex and the brand's committed partnerships were the key factors in this development. In 1952, the first TUDOR watches were delivered to the British Royal Navy to serve as measuring instruments for an expedition to Greenland. It was also in the 1950s that the divers of the Marine nationale française chose the then newly launched TUDOR Oyster Prince Submariner for their missions.TUDOR also had a close relationship with the US Navy. Having established itself as a supplier thanks to its new divers' watches, the brand began developing a new watch in 1967, which would not be completed until some 50 years later. Under the codename Commando, the first prototypes were created according to the specifications requested by the American government. They are the basis of the TUDOR Black Bay, which was newly launched in 2019.

New TUDOR models—Tested by the Best

The close links to military organizations rooted in the brand history meant one thing above all for TUDOR watches: They constantly had to withstand the most extreme conditions for many years. Values such as resistance, reliability, and accuracy were irrevocably associated with the TUDOR brand during this time and are also valid for the new models of today. Whether it is the Ranger that follows the trail of the TUDOR Oyster Prince, the new Pelagos divers' watches, or the new versions in the sporty and elegant TUDOR Royal collection: The values that have evolved over the history of the brand can be found in each of these watches. TUDOR keeps placing great importance on partnerships with outstanding personalities. The new watch models can be seen on the wrists of extreme athletes, such as apnea diver Morgan Bourc'his, Big Wave surfer Mic von Rupp, and soccer legend David Beckham, and make it unmistakably clear that they are ready to face all the challenges ahead—just like their predecessors.
