Whether modern and round or classic and fitted with a pendulum—wall clocks come in many different styles and designs. Traditional brands, such as Erwin Sattler, are known for producing clocks with technically sophisticated cable regulators or precision pendulum clocks. In the latter, a mechanical pendulum sets the time as a pendulum about one meter long swings from side to side in one second. The shorter the pendulum, the more frequently it swings per second.
