The idea behind the creation of these clocks by the two artists and founders, Marco Biegert and Andreas Funk, is as unconventional as it is natural. The Qlocktwo tells time the same way humans do. Rather than using numerals, hands, or digital displays, it shows the current time written out in words. The seconds mode impressively illustrates the passing of time, while the five-minute interval mode meets the desire for deceleration. Four discreet, illuminated dots in the corners of the square surface guarantee that the time is displayed to the minute. The Qlocktwo concept is fascinating.
