Nomos Glashütte Tangomat—the Classic with a Self-Winding Movement
At first glance, the Nomos Glashütte Tangomat looks like a slightly larger Tangente model. It's no coincidence that it looks so similar, as it has the same Bauhaus and Werkbund inspired dial, which has expressive five Arabic numerals, two hands and the small second at six o'clock. But the Nomos Glashütte Tangomat is driven by a very special movement: The Epsilon caliber, now DUW 5001, was the first automatic caliber produced by the brand when it was introduced in 2005 and it has made a name for Nomos Glashütte as a watch brand.
Nomos Glashütte Tangomat—the Brand's First Automatic Watch
The DUW 5001 is a reliable clock generator that works in the classic Nomos Glashütte Tangomat and is highly precise and highly praised. Meanwhile the watch is also equipped with the Nomos-Swing-System which is made in-house.
The Nomos Glashütte Tangomat is available as a classic three-hand watch, with or without date display, with a white silver-plated and particularly expressive ruthenium dial. The line also includes the Nomos Glashütte Tangomat GMT, an innovative world time watch. It knows the time in all 24 time zones and indicates this with the help of international airport codes. This is made possible by the DUW 5201 manufacture caliber, which is produced in the Glashütte manufactory according to all of the rules of traditional watchmaking craftsmanship.
