Loved by Divers and Motorsport Enthusiasts
The commitment to functionality is a part of the Mühle-Glashütte DNA and the manufacturer has a long and active history. Founded in 1869, Mühle-Glashütte initially manufactured measuring instruments for the local watch industry in Glashütte, Germany. At the beginning of the 20th century, it also produced speedometers, car clocks, and tachometers. After the brand was refounded in 1992, the brand began manufacturing marine chronometers and marine clock systems too. And, shortly after that, watches were added—some of which were used as mission watches by combat swimmers and sea rescuers. To equip these technical masterpieces with high-precision movements, Mühle-Glashütte constructed the patented “Spechthals”—or woodpecker neck—regulation, which ensures that the watch functions properly even under the harshest conditions. This mechanism, along with other in-house inventions, has established Mühle-Glashütte's as an innovative watch brand like no other.
