Nautical instruments from Wempe Chronometerwerke

Founded in 1905, Wempe Chronometerwerke is one of the world's leading manufacturers of nautical instruments. The brand’s elaborate timekeeping systems can be found on all German research ships and numerous luxury cruise liners, including the famous MS Europa II cruise liner. The ship clocks, marine chronometers, and other nautical instruments produced by Wempe Chronometerwerke can also be used on smaller sailing yachts. Aside from being extremely precise, many of the timepieces and instruments are also stunning to look at. The chronometers, especially, can be displayed around the home or on the desk of sailors and sailing enthusiasts alike.

More than clocks: Our nautical instruments at a glance

Along with various ship clocks, the Wempe Chronometerwerke product line also includes a variety of other nautical instruments. Among these nautical instruments are barometers, which are used to measure the air pressure and for forecasting the weather; barographs, which record changes in the air pressure and predicting weather conditions; and comfortmeters, which combine thermometers and hygrometers and display the current temperature and relative humidity. Our range of nautical instruments also includes a selection of other measuring instruments that serve more than one function and can provide you with valuable information about the weather either onboard a ship or in your home. If you are interested in purchasing a specific nautical instrument, please contact Wempe Chronometerwerke - we will be more than happy to advise you.
