Diving Watches: The Ultimate Sport Watches

If you want to use your watch in the water, it really doesn't get better than diving watches. The diving watch models from Breitling, Hublot, Longines, and other brands are sporty in style and can withstand a lot more than a small splash of water while washing your hands. You can take a watch with 5 bar water-resistance in the shower or bath with you. A watch with 10 bar water-resistance can be worn while swimming, snorkeling, or doing other water sports. Equally, if you'd like to dive with your watch, you need a model with at least 20 bar water-resistance. These professional diving watches are tested according to the DIN 8306 standard.

Tips for Caring for Your Diving Watch

A diving watch is built to last, but to ensure that it lasts as long as possible it's important to look after it properly—like you would a valuable piece of jewelry. This is because water-resistance is not permanent. The seals on the diving watches age and individual parts can be damaged by sweat, or exposure to acids. Saltwater, for example, corrodes diving watches quickly. So, you should rinse your watch with fresh water immediately after taking it for a dive in the sea. We recommend that you bring your diving watch annually so that we can check the seals and tightness for you—this is free of charge as part of our watch service.
