The hundredths of a second chronograph Defy Extreme Carbon (Ref. 10.9100.9004/22.I200) combines craftsmanship and technical mastery with solid readability. In the 45-millimeter case made of lightweight but resistant carbon fiber and titanium, the beating heart of this fascinating watch can be seen from both sides through a skeletonized dial and a sapphire crystal caseback: self-winding manufacture caliber El Primero 21, which houses a second escapement for the chronograph functions. In this way, the "movement within a movement", with its own power reserve and manual winding mechanism, enables the measurement of hundredths of a second - and allows the central hand to circle around the dial extremely quickly, in just one second, when the watch is stopped.
