Twelve diamonds as dot hour markers, a white mother-of-pearl dial with a date display, and gold-plated hands give the Longines Master Collection (L2.357.5.87.7) that certain something. This elegant play of light and color is echoed by the 34-millimeter case, which combines stainless steel and 18k yellow gold and is water-resistant up to 30 meters. Inside the case, and visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, there is self-winding caliber L888 with an impressive power reserve of up to 72 hours.
