Piaget Altiplano—Ultra-Thin and Technically Perfect Watches
Piaget set the standard for ultra-thin watches with the launch of the Altiplano more than 60 years ago. This watch line continues to set the standard today and are available in a number of designs. From the classic two-hand watch to models with a tourbillon or a skeletonized dial, with manual or automatic winding. Traditionally manufactured in white gold or rose gold, these ultra-thin watches continue to be heralded as the hallmark of the Piaget brand today. It's hardly surprising then, that the Piaget Altiplano is often seen on the wrists of celebrities, as it is the ideal watch for glamorous events.
Ultra-Slim Cases Means Ultra-Thin Calibers
Those brands that produce calibers that are only a few millimeters high demonstrate horological finesse in every single movement. In order to set new records in the construction of thin calibers, the manufacture invented an entirely new technique which means that the movement and case are fused together. This was first presented in the Piaget Altiplano and was later used in other models. The case-back also supports the movement parts.
