The classic from the house of A. Lange & Söhne, the Grand Lange 1 Ref. 137.038, presents itself after a subtle revision in the color combination of gray and white gold. The 18k white gold case has a diameter of 41 millimeters and fits snugly around the wrist with a height of just 8.2 millimeters. The characteristic, off-center displays on the gray dial made of solid silver are the eye-catchers in the collection. The filigree hands and Roman numerals are also made of white gold and, together with the case, create a very elegant appearance. In addition to the time, the Grand Lange 1 also features a small seconds subdial with stop-seconds function, a power-reserve display, and the typical Lange large date. The sapphire crystal caseback provides an unimpeded view of the hand-wound movement in which an escapement regulates the rate, the balance spring of which is manufactured in-house. The used Lange manufacture caliber L095.1 has a power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound. The fine timepiece is fitted on a black leather strap with an 18k white gold pin clasp.
