Made entirely of highly polished stainless steel, the ZENITH Defy Extreme (Ref. 03.9102.9004/90.I001) is sensational in more ways than one. The sapphire crystal dial is a real eye-catcher, revealing the El Primero 21 high-frequency self-winding movement. The secret of its exceptional technical performance lies in the caliber's second escapement, which controls the chronograph functions. This "movement within a movement", with its own manual winding system, makes it possible to measure hundredths of a second - and allows the central hand to circle the dial extremely quickly, in just one second, when the chronograph function is activated. In addition to this highlight, applied counters and clearly arranged totalizers ensure excellent readability. The chronograph power-reserve display at 12 o'clock completes the range of functions. Water-resistant to 200 meters, this 45-millimeter timepiece comes with a stainless-steel bracelet that can be quickly changed to a black rubber strap or a Velcro strap, both of which are included.
