The 1815 watch collection was named for the birth year of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the founder of this watchmaking company in Saxony. The collection revives important hallmarks of the company’s historic pocket watches and interprets them in a contemporary design.
The name affix refers to the power-reserve indicator that is typical of Lange watches. The mechanical implementation of this indicator enables the especially flat construction of the movement and the elegant proportions of the watch.
