If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere
this is also our theme at Wempe. In 1980, Wempe took the step across the Atlantic and has been writing a German-American success story in the middle of Manhattan ever since. Wempe announces the grand reopening of its New York City Flagship Store on the corner of 55th Street and Fifth Avenue. The new boutique has more than doubled in size. It now boasts 5,500 square feet of sales area and eight display windows, stretching along half a block of the facade of the time-honored Peninsula building.
Wempe presents the 5th Avenue Limited Edition Wempe Zeitmeister to commemorate the grand reopening. This limited-edition watch will be available exclusively at the New York showroom. The model comes with a silver-plated or black dial and a large-format date. The second hand and number 5 of the date display are accentuated in red to produce an eye-catching effect — a declaration of love for the boutique’s location. A further treat for all fans of this world-class city is a second time zone display that shows the current time in New York. The back of the watch case bears an engraving of the Peninsula building. The stainless-steel chronometer is made and certified in the Wempe watchmakers’ workshop in Glashütte, Germany. This special model is available in both variations of the dial for 2,890 USD. Each dial variation is limited to 55 specimen.
