A modern tribute: A. Lange & Söhne 1815
1815 was a significant year in German watchmaking history as it's the year that founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange was born in Dresden. A. Lange & Söhne bears his name and honors his legacy in the 1815 line. The classic-looking dial with Arabic numerals and blue hands is made of solid silver. The design with the classic "Chemin-de-Fer" minute scale, finely crafted bezel and easy readability is also a tribute to the legendary watch designer and entrepreneur.
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 knows to inspire watch lovers with elaborate technology
The A. Lange & Söhne 1815 is not only beautiful on the outside, the models reveal their complicated inner lives through the sapphire glass panel on the back. Three-quarter plate and elaborately decorated movement parts pay tribute to the tradition of the company.
Over the years, the A. Lange & Söhne family has grown to include an impressive number of models with sophisticated complications. The selection now includes watches with rate indications, annual calendars, perpetual calendars, chronographs as well as models with tourbillons, and models made of white or red gold.
A. Lange & Söhne at Wempe
Wempe and A. Lange & Söhne have a long history together. Herbert Wempe and Otto Lange, the grandson of the company's founder, founded the initial cooperation between the two companies. One of their first joint ventures was the establishment of the "Glashütte Observatory" consortium, in the 1930s. After the refoundation of the company A. Lange & Söhne in 1990, Wempe began stocking the elaborate watches from this well-known Glashütte brand and they've been available from us since 1994. Along with the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 collection, we also carry other lines from this brand online and in our branches.
